It's catchin' up!

It's been 6 weeks since I planted the seeds and
I think it's going great. I have no idea if I am doing
it right, but I'm pleased.

My brother got a look at them today and he
was kind of shocked that the stems are so thick.
Putting them outside in the wind, really pays off!

I measured them again.

The Bubba Kush is now 36 cm tall and 46,5 cm wide.

12-finger leaf on the Bubba Kush.

I have read on an internet message board that when a leaf gets extra
fingers, the plant appears to be happy, and the 2 big plants both
have leafs with 11 or 12 fingers :) I'm not sure if they are
7- or 9-finger plants. But either way.. They're happy :)

The Big Early Misty is now 27 cm high and 35,5 cm in width.

Aaargh, when will the Early Misties finally reveal their
sexes? Please be girls?

The Small Early Misty is finally trying to catch up!
Very cool :)
It is now 20 centimeter high and 24 wide.

The bunch!

Can't wait, can't wait!!

Standing strong!

Today was the day that I repotted the plants.
Yesterday we went to the garden center to buy
all the things we needed.
First up was the potting soil.

Sum buckets.. (I burned some holes in the bottom
of the buckets, with a hot knife)
Some plant food called Osmocote
(they were on discount, yay!)

The biggest plants (BubbaKush and Big Early Misty)
got a bucket and the Small Early Misty got the
old BubbaKush pot.
Tomorrow I will measure them again and make
some close-ups of the plants.

So lovin' the tweets!

Ok, now it's been 1 month since the tweets made their
first centimeter above ground.
We're lucky that the weather has been sunny
and warm this passed month. I think that it
has helped the plants a lot and made my job
taking care of them, a lot easier.

I noticed that the tweets start to
smell. There's nothing better than Sniffin'
the leafs in the morning.. Don't judge! (hoi Judge haw).

First up is the BubbaKush, which is my proud
and glory. Strong stem, beautiful leafs.
My Gosh, is she gorgeous! I'm so very happy that
she grows the best, because this was my only
feminized seed.

The BubbaKush is now 30cm high and 41cm in width.

Next up is the big Early Misty. This one is my medium
plant, but also a beauty!

The big Early Misty is now 24,5cm in length and
27cm wide.

Last, but not least (well.. But we don't want to
hurt any tweet's feelings..) This small Early Misty
is tiny, but it's clear it won't give up easily.
since the last time we measured, it has grown
4cm in length, so there's still some hope left!

The small Early Misty is now 12cm high and
13,5cm wide.

I think that next week I will repot the biggest one for the
last time, maybe in a bucket, I'm not sure..

Early Mist & Early Misty.

This morning the smallest of the Early Misties had yellow
leafs. All kinds of horror scenarios went through
my mind, but I just hope it's the changing from my
dad's place to our place.

I repotted "her" (fingers crossed), but to do so,
I had to repot the BubbaKush into a bigger pot.

I measured them for the first time.
From now on the big Early Misty will be called
the Big Misty and the smaller on the Small Misty.
(so very inventive)
Here goes:

The BubbaKush, 23 centimeters tall, 34 centimeters wide!

Big Misty, 16 centimeters in length, 20 centimeters wide.

The Small Misty is only 8 centimeters tall and 10 centimeters in width.

The future stash!

Three amigos

Time for an update!
It's been only 3 weeks ago that the tweets were just small seeds.
They grow really fast, for example;
This is what they looked like on the ninth (6 days ago):

Last saturday we brought back the Early Misty we took to my
dad's place, because it almost doesn't grow there.
There's a huge difference between the growth of the three
plants. The BubbaKush still takes the lead with the
Early Misty (the bigger one) following.
And this is what they look like now;
Tahdaaaaaaah!

Sunny, sunny day :)

Because the sun is shining bright again,
the tweets are back on the balcony!

It's so cool to actually see that they've grown a bit during the night.

Both the plants.

I forgot to mention that I brought one of the Early Misty
plants to my dad's place. I want to see if the plant develops
differently when it's always outside, with sun on it all
day long.

This Early Misty grows a lot slower.

The tweets on independence day

After repotting the tweets, we put them on the balcony
to get the full sun, but today the weather sucked again,
so we brought them back into the house.

Fase 1 of Growin' the tweets

21.06.2010

Planted the feminizes BubbaKush & the 2 Early Misty (unknown sex) late june.
Friend of mine bought them @ a growshop in Roosendaal, the Netherlands.
Filled 2 small pots with soil and planted the seeds 1cm deep.
BubbaKush separately from the Early Misty, I marked the pots "EM" and BK".

I bought plant food sticks @ the Lidl supermarket, they sell them per 100 for € 2,49
(different fr0m photo)

I sprayed a small amount of water on the soil,
put half a
plant food stick
(I did not use the ones on the photo,
they're just for reference)
in each pot
and covered
the pots with plastic kitchen foil. Placed them in the
windowsill in the sun. They also need wind to get a strong stem.

Only 3 days later they had already grown 1cm above the ground.

I will repot them today, so they can grow stronger and bigger.
This is the first time trying to grow tweets on my own, so let's hope
they grow up to be big, full and beautiful plants.
I got some good hope, but first we have to wait for
the Early Misty to show if they're male or female. Fingers crossed!
